Editorial design for DERT

“DERT in principle stands for the essence of book culture: literacy, print, iconoclasm, and now, crucially, book interactivity.” As part of the same principle, the objective of this assignment is to work with DERT partners and TODA New York in order to research, conceptualize and design new approaches to the packaging of classic books and stories.

My presentation showcases the design of a dust jacket for a classic book, “Pride & Prejudice” that is re-invented using modern design inspiration and my distinctive personal aesthetic.

This custom designed dust jacket will be part of a series of DERT classic hardcover books, bringing in my own personal expression and experience that will eventually be marketed as a re-invented contemporary series of classics.
